Meet Shy! This sweet little girl was rescued from a local shelter with her 4 siblings. Their litter was found under an abandoned house in the rural town of Bainbridge, Ga. They are about 4-5 months old and 15-20 pounds as of 6/8/19. They have been with us a little over a month learning to be cherished members of a family. They were all quite nervous when rescued but are making excellent progress in their foster homes. Shy was lucky enough to be fostered by our behaviorist so has been getting training from the day she left the shelter. She will provide 2 in home sessions if local to St Pete or phone sessions for those farther away! She knows some basic commands, is crate trained and doesn’t have accidents as long as not given too much freedom in the house and kept on a schedule (she’s a puppy!), and is a such a sweet girl with love and patience! She is making great progress in trusting people and learning to be an indoor dog but needs a special home with a patient and dog experienced family to continue her training. She 100% needs another dog in the home to help her continue to learn and to play with. She adores all dogs especially those that will play with her. She is doing well with her leash walking but we are requiring a fenced in back yard for this cutie to play in. If you are interested in meeting Shy please fill out an adoption application on www.maxxandme.org. Shy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption donation is only $275.
