Isabelle

Isabelle

Isabelle came from the horrifying neglect and locked in a trailer. Because of the severe neglect they’ve endured the last 7 months they have some minor hair loss but it is getting much better! Isabelle is a 1 year old chihuahua. She is suffering from severe skin issues that will only require time and good nutrition to resolve. Her hair will grow back, fill in. Despite her lack of attention, touch, love, care, she is gentle and loving. She really likes to cuddle and is enjoying toys and snuggling in laundry baskets (like any good chihuahua!). She gets along well with others but prefer small dogs to big.

From Isabelle’s foster mom: Don’t be scared of their skin issues, most have already resolved themselves with baths, flea meds, and the liberal application of coconut oil. They are true sweethearts. Isabelle, at one year old, is full of playful puppy energy and lives for getting people involved throwing plush toys for fetch (especially toys with squeakers). Dorothy Barker is the older sister at two, and more of a cuddlebug, seeking out belly scritches and giving lots of affection in return. Neither are shakers, whiners, or scaredycats. In fact, considering the conditions in which they were found, the girls have emerged remarkably unscathed, both exhibiting an intelligent, interested manner and happy go lucky attitudes. We have four other dogs of all sizes and they get along famously with all of them. They will take sometime to train to do their business outside, since they’ve been left inside for months, but a fenced yard or some long after dinner walks should do the trick. They are getting trained using puppy pads too. Additionally, neither of these beautiful sisters are destructive of property or bark incessantly. Isabelle and Dorothy Barker are waiting for their fur-ever homes now!

Isabelle is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption donation is only $300!
