Meet Pedro a 38 pound lab mix rescued from the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian. He was found in the streets right before the hurricane by his hero Chella then sent to us to find his forever home! Pedro needs a home with a dog buddy like all the dogs rescued from this sanctuary setting to play with and hang out with.

This dude is camera shy. I swear, I’m usually pretty good about getting at least a shot or two that are decent. But I never could get him to look at me long enough to snap a good one.

That’s because he’s on high alert at all times. He’s anxious and Leary and while he’s friendly, he is also questioning your motives behind the soft pets and gentle touches…. Pablo has had that from only one person prior to joining Maxx & Me, Chella. His other humans left him tied outside during the hurricane. They cared not for his well being or happiness. Chella was diligently keeping this guy alive by nightly sneaking out and feeding him at midnight. He’s ours now. That garbage is in the past and he will ever again endure such neglect.

Pablo is a tiny, mighty force. He can leap tall buildings in a single bound and practically flies. It is imperative you have a safe, virtually inescapable, fenced in yard for him and a dog buddy to give him comfort and to play with.

Pedro’s adoption fee is $250. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
