Meet Chevy! He is an approximately 5 year old, 51 pound lab/pit mix. Just one week after being emancipated from his hundred pound tow-chain tied around his neck, Chevy has settled into life in a home like an angel. He is OBSESSED with lizard hunting. Plays fetch nicely including dropping the toy for you. He sits and shakes and is potty trained. He sleeps peacefully though the night, has shown zero aggression, and other than being a little mischievous with plants (hello! There could be lizards in there!) he has demonstrated nothing but beautifully mannered behavior.
Chevy needs a forever home with a fenced in yard for him to enjoy. He’s been lovely with the ten year old in his foster home so older, respectful children would be ok. Because of his high prey drive/fondness for lizards, a home with cats/reptiles is a no go to be safe. We haven’t dog tested him yet.
Chevy was forsaken for months. It hasn’t dampened his spirit or his aim to please, however. He’s a wonderful dog in search of a wonderful home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption donation is only $250.
