Meet Jaeger! He is one of the five husky mixes we saved from a life chained outside without shelter, no reprieve from the elements, and seemingly zero human interaction prior to being rescued. He is 10-11 years old and about 65 pounds. He is the absolute sweetest guy in the world. He would do best with another dog in the home who is confident and will help make him feel comfortable. He is still scared of people in general but even more so men, he has gotten a lot better but still very nervous. He does not do well around hyper children, or dogs, cats are also a big no. He also gets very upset when “his person” leaves the home and will pace the house until they come home, so his forever home must have someone with a lot of patience that spends most of their day at home. He’s never been left for more than 6 hours by himself. He likes his schedule and for his life to be predicable. If you are home with him he will request his bed be in whatever room you’re in and he will sleep all day. He gives air kisses and loves butt scratches. He is a major shedder as a husky mix so requires daily brushing. Jaeger is a calm old man who just wants to spend the last years of his life feeling the way he has with is foster: safe, loved, accepted.
