Freddy – now Chance – was adopted into a home that’s just too busy for him. He is about 3 years old and about 65 pounds. Two very young children (with whom he is great) and a daddy on deployment means there’s just not enough hours in the day to properly exercise or care for a Catahoula. Freddy also has food allergies so a home where little girls drop things they’re eating to which he’s allergic are throwing off the balanced (safe) diet his momma is working hard to maintain. With a cross-country move coming up, this family is about to be without the local help from family. So, Freddy/Chance is coming back into our care.
Ideally, Freddy would be adopted by someone with Catahoula experience. While he isn’t wild and crazy like most ‘Houla boys, he IS head strong and smart as a whip and he DOES require daily exercise and stimulation of his mind to keep him from being bored. Freddy is headed to boarding today. He is good with other dogs and children but it’s been proven very young kids are detrimental to his diet – as mentioned above.
Freddy is now in a foster home and doing great with a steady routine!

Freddy is gentle, sweet, playful, cuddly, and eager to please. He is just about perfect!! Freddy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption donation is $250.
