Archie

Archie

Meet Archie! He was emaciated and in rough shape when he came to us from a kill shelter. This He is now approximately 9 months old Great Pyrenees Pup and has put 20 pounds on in the last few weeks!!! Archie is approx 70 pounds and will be much bigger than that full grown since he’s nowhere near done yet. No longer is he a severely emaciated bag of bones, YAY!!!!
Archie has been in foster learning how to politely coexist with other dogs. He’s doing very well. Archie, like virtually ALL Pyrs is protective of his homestead and patrols his backyard like a machine. He will require a large fenced yard – PREFERABLY ACREAGE – and a family knowledgeable regarding Pyrs and their quirks. He’s very loving and sweet and of course at times has that stubborn, “sorry can’t hear ya these ears are ornamental only”-side typical of the GP breed.
Archie will need a family committed to continuing his socialization. He is really doing well meeting new people and new dogs. A lot of GP become overly protective and standoffish over time and in order to stave off this undesirable behavior, trips in public and routine doggy play dates will greatly benefit Archie! As with all puppies adopted through Maxx & Me, his adopter will need to commit to taking him to positive reinforcement puppy classes with a trainer of their choice.
His fur is filling in nicely, he’s fattening up, he’s blossoming in all ways into a WONDERFUL dog. He is now ready for his forever home!

Archie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Adoption donation is $300.
