Salem

Salem 🧙🏾‍♀️ 🤎
For 54 weeks, Salem has been in our care. When we first agreed to take her in last year, we were doing so on behalf of a beloved shelter partner. She reached out to us after Salem and another husky (male) were found wandering together. The owner was located and he came and reclaimed… the boy only. Salem was left without a home in a shelter that like so many, must euthanize when they’re over run – which sadly, is often. Salem was sweet and an instant favorite of the staff. They reached out to us hoping we would be able to find her a home that understood the needs of this breed and not just someone who might show up and be enchanted by those eyes.
What we would learn shortly after bringing Salem into the rescue is that she was hiding a very big secret: SALEM WAS PREGNANT!!!
Just one month later, she gave birth to EIGHT babies and her #broodofbroomriders joined the Maxx fam as well! It was an exciting time!!! All the babies quickly found their families and have been fortunate to experience the love and commitment of a FUR-ever home.
Salem, however, is still on the hunt for her happily ever after. Salem is a lot of things:
House trained, friendly, absolutely gorgeous, incredibly intelligent, high energy, athletic, a great snuggler… Salem also needs specific things in a forever home: a large fenced yard (her fave past time is running full speed!), a friendly doggie friend, people fully committed to keeping her engaged and mentally stimulated so as not to be bored (boredom is the root of many negative behaviors in all beings!).
Salem is so special to us. We are looking for a perfect family to fit her exact needs and we would love to find that family soon. While there is no time limit on this – we are committed, her foster family is committed, she’s safe and loved and out of harm’s way – for her sake, we want to begin her next chapter.
Please share Salem. The right family, the magic fit, the perfect recipe for success is out there, We know it! 🪄 🔮

Salem is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Adoption donation is $250.
