Dani was found wandering with who we believe is her brother, Danny Boy. Both were picked up by a good Samaritan, taken to Pasco County Animal services where unfortunately no one came to claim them. MAXX and Me of course couldn’t leave these two beautiful animals so arranged foster homes and now Dani has her first set of shots, is spayed and we have discovered they are definitely NOT bonded so both are on the hunt for separate homes. While we are not sure in any way what Dani is truly she resembles a pointer/lab and has many of their characteristics. With rescue dogs anything is always a possibility!
Dani will need another dog for sure in her forever home that is large enough and confident enough to keep her in her place. She can be a little MileyCyrus/wrecking ball-y! They both will need a large fenced yard for SURE. Dani absolutely LOVES the pool and would be a great dog to dock dive or at least splash around with.
She is GREAT with kids, though the likelihood of knocking over little ones is sky high. They aren’t ok with very tiny dogs that could be confused for squirrels or some kind of bait animal so dogs in their homes will need to be medium or larger. Cats are an unknown, so most likely not a good fit.
Looking for a boat dog? Dog to swim with you and your family? A dog who would enjoy hiking in the mountains and running through streams? Dani may be the dog for you! She is about 7 months old, 40lbs and will likely mostly fill out for the next 6 months or so. Like all our young dogs she will require basic obedience training upon adoption.
