MILO – Adoption Pending!
Milo hails from Mississipi – he is a hurricane dog who has come far to Tampa to find a home! Milo is a handsome hunk weighing in at about 80 lbs and LOVES to play, play, play and oh yes SWIM!!!
Pasco County Animal Services took in 50 dogs from Mississippi to prepare for when hurricane Ida was coming! Over-crowded shelters euthanize on a mass scale when a storm is coming knowing full well they will be overrun with lost dogs afterwards. This was a big way to help keep good dogs from dying and we respect so much the effort it took on behalf of @pascocountyanimalservices to make this happen.
Milo was one of those dogs
While Milo may bark with a Mississippi-accent, he has had zero trouble fitting in here in Florida. With nowhere to go, Milo left the shelter under our care and landed in boarding. This wasn’t ideal – bills like boarding escalate quickly – but Milo was our way of helping those who were helping others in a dire time of need.
The good news about Milo spending some time in boarding is we know he’s a southern gentleman! He’s good with every dog he has met and friendly, playful, just an all-around GEM of a dog.
Milo needs a FOSTER or even better an ADOPTER right away. He’s 4yo, a delicious chocolate lab (mix?) and he’s ready to be the man of someone’s dreams. As you can tell from the pics he LOVES water and splashing around in the doggie pool💦and also discovered how to swim in March 2022 in a real pool! Once he got the hang of it he jumped full force in and splashed around. He will be good with or without a dog as long as he has a yard to run in, someone to spend time with him and get him plenty of exercise! Milo is great with other dogs but no cats.
Milo’s Adoption donation is $300
