Pia was relieved of her duties as a mother just two short weeks ago. In that time, she spent more than a week in boarding where she was reunited with our Sean. It was very clear they had been a pair in their former life as money-making machines but more than that… she likes him. She found comfort in his presence and she wouldn’t leave him alone! When Sean went to a foster home, the thought of Pia staying behind was pitiful… so
His foster family really stepped up and took them Both! For the last week, we have evaluated if Pia and Sean were an actual bonded pair or just dogs that used to know one another and therefore found comfort in the presence of each other. It’s clear, the latter is the case. While Pia and Sean both like being around each other, they’re not “bonded” and don’t need to be adopted together. They’re as comfortable being with other welcoming pups as they are with each other and for that reason, they will absolutely require another dog their size, friendly and welcoming but not overly rambunctious in their forever home. They are both blossoming and learning the MOST important parts of life as a beloved pet: dog beds, FETCH, toys, couch life, and sunbathing until your heart is content.
Petunia / Pia will need a securely fenced yard and folks ready to carry her torch. She is well on her way in her rehabilitation from a breeding machine to a beloved pet. She needs a family to help her finish the process.
