Binky-Foster or Foster to adopt needed!!

Binky – thanks to the donations of our Village and the Thorsen(Maxx-alum)Fam in particular – underwent several procedures the last couple of weeks. We were able to rule out blockage from cancer or masses of any sort- praise Jesus! We did extensive blood work and tests including an under-sedation swab of the infection in his sinuses. From that, we were lead to flush his sinuses out, again an under-anesthesia procedure. During this, it was discovered that Binky is basically mal-formed. His nasal cavity does not properly connect to/ drain into his sinuses adequately. His nostrils are blocked making his nasal-sinus-stomach pathway hindered. So with the nasal flush, a new round of antibiotics, and a mucus-thinning Med on board, Binx is “as good as it gets”…. These procedures were finally completed yesterday. Meaning, we don’t yet know the extent to which this procedure and these drugs will clear him up. He may always be “stuffy”. He may need a mucus-thinning Med indefinitely (this would not be an issue for his body assuredly. It would be like daily mucinex for people.) He may be fixed and rid of this … but some amount of stuffiness and mucus should be expected indefinitely.
That said, Binky is now officially and excitedly on the hunt for his forever family!!!! Of course, this will need to be folks understanding that they may have a slightly snotty kid – or maybe not if the meds work well enough?!
Binky LOVES people, LOVES other dogs, is VERY PLAYFUL and is so so so loving. We will be after a home with adults or teens minimum because given his history of eating things like pacifiers…. Hence the name… he will need a household with people who can be trusted to pick up after themselves.
Binky is a baby, only around a year old (2 max) and in person looks like a TINY little sleek-haired 22# shepherd. He has survived emergency surgery to remove his obstruction (aforementioned pacifier), being beaten for eating it which caused a shattered pelvis and severely broken leg. He overcame the months of a full-leg cast which at one point rubbed a giant hole in his arm pit that had to be flushed and treated… and now this.
Binky is a survivor. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him. We can’t wait to introduce him to his perfect forever family. One where he will be SAFE, LOVED, CHERISHED, PROTECTED, and PROVIDED FOR all the days of his life.
Adoption Donation for Binky is $350
