Rocco & Ruger

Meet Rocco & Ruger!

When we think of bonded pairs, we think of many famous duos such as Bonnie & Clyde and Thelma & Louise. They were partners in crime, always together and dynamic duos. They have an inseparable bond, are loyal to each other and have a true love for one another. In cats and dogs, it’s no different. Rocco & Ruger came from the same home and have lived together all of their lives. However, they were left behind when their family moved. Although it would be easier to adopt them out separately, we can’t bear to do that to them. They will stay together forever.

They are truly are better together. They are confident, silly and easy going when in each other’s presence. Without each other, they cry and get anxious. They are brothers who depend on each other.

Ruger is the more outgoing of the two and is a typical shepherd. He’s vocal and very talkative and loves to be the center of attention. Rocco is the handsome shy type. He’s fine being behind Ruger and will take pets after. They both really love affection and companionship from people. They are big boys, but low maintenance. They do shed, but are house trained, don’t destroy things and actually LOVE other dogs. They currently live with 3 other big dogs, for a total of 5 dogs in the foster home. They have been to doggy daycare many times and get along with all dogs, big or small.

Ruger is a 10 year old blonde German Shepherd and Rocco is a 10 year old Catahoula/Husky mix. Ruger is tall, but very slender and probably aobut 70lbs. Rocco is only about 55-60lbs. Both boys are neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. Their adoption fee is $300 for the pair.

They have been waiting for a home since July 2022 and have only had one application ever. It’s time to find these boys a home. If you can give them a forever home with just you or add them to your pack, they would be happy either way. Please fill out an application at maxxandme.org.
