Like all good cowboys we want to see Cowboy Sam ride off into the sunset 🌄🤠 especially after nearly dying from parvo.

Maxx & Me Pet Rescue received an urgent plea from Pasco County Animal Services regarding an URGENT situation at their shelter on President’s Day 2/20…they are closed, there is a very sick dog in the ACO’s officer’s truck who tested positive for parvo. He was lethargic, could not stand, diarrhea and vomiting. He MUST be released to a rescue ASAP or he was to be euthanized due to his condition.

With MINUTES to spare Cowboy Sam’s village worked together to get him off the ACO truck, race him to the ER, transport then to a vet to treat him for parvo and hospitalization. Fast forward Cowboy Sam is in a temp foster home who thankfully agreed with no notice to take him in for a few weeks during his recovery. CS is growing stronger every day. He is a very sweet, loving, affectionate boy who wants to be by your side. He will still need to be neutered in a bit when he feels better.

We are looking for a longer term foster and ideally an adoptive home!

Cowboy Sam will be neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, is on hw prevention. His adoption fee is $300.
