Please be honest when completing this application. There are NO wrong answers. The questions are designed to help place our dogs in the right homes. If your application is approved you can expect a volunteer to contact you within 3 days of submitting. Please be patient as we are all volunteers and reach out to us at maxxandmerescue@gmail.com for updates or questions. We are based in Tampa, FL and do not do out of state adoptions. Please fill out vet info even if your dog is deceased as we call for reference. Many of our dogs come from unknown backgrounds, abuse, or neglect and for this reason we DO NOT adopt dogs to be emotional support animals. Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Please read the full bio of the dog you are interested in prior to filling out this application. We will not compromise on the dog's needs even if you have a fantastic home. For example, if the bio says the dog needs a 6' fenced in yard we will not adopt to you even if there is a dog park near your house. Every dog has different, specific needs as identified by their foster family and we update their bios as we learn these needs. Our goal is to make all adoptions perfect for you and the dog by getting it right the first time and setting our dogs up for success. Thank you!*
