Fosters help us save the lives of adoptable pets, because we do not have afacility facility, so we can only save them from being euthanized when we have foster homes available.

A foster home is a short-term safe haven for a rescued dog or cat to learn new skills and to prepare for a forever home. Foster homes are a critical component of our program and our fosters are some of the most amazing people on earth!  Many of our dogs are pulled from euthanasia lists or have medical issues that cannot be addressed in a shelter environment. It is a wonderful experience to know you have literally saved a life!

Maxx & Me Pet Rescue pays for all medical care (fosters must get verbal permission from one our representatives to make an appointment with our partner vets), heartworm and flea prevention, and supplies. We ask our fosters to provide food for our dogs as a donation. We do our best to match fosters with dogs that fit best in their home environment.
